If media function as extensions of the senses (McLuhan,

1964), their overextension in the digital era produces

sensory amputation, where agency is unconsciously lost in

hypnosis, collapsing the distance between perception and

reflection.

This installation engages this condition through

perceptual latency - the temporal lag between sensory

stimulation and its conscious registration. This delay

produces a structural distance in which self-observation

and reflexivity emerge.

Materializing this concept using fog and projection, the

installation creates an environment of optical instability

and delayed apparition. In this mediation, recognition is

no longer compressed into instantaneity, but suspended

in indeterminacy before taking form.
